Manufacturer’s flagship phone to go on sale at O2 with exclusive preloaded content from next film in the James Bond series, Skyfall
Sony Mobile is launching its Xperia T ‘Bond Phone’ exclusively with O2 in the UK. It will go on sale before the end of the month, costing £36 a month on O2’s On & On tariff and £429.99 on prepay.
The flagship handset, which will feature in the upcoming James Bond film Skyfall, will come preloaded with exclusive content.
This will include the 007 ringtone, themes, screensavers, behind-the-scenes video blogs and a geotagged photo gallery showing the film’s locations.
It will also come with exclusive James Bond packaging, 007 Legends game available on the PS3, Xbox 360 or PC for a limited time only.
Sony Mobile UK and Ireland marketing director Catherine Cherry said: “The latest James Bond film, Skyfall, brings together Sony’s flagship products and core offerings, celebrating Sony working as one.
“We are very pleased to be partnering with O2 to help highlight this unity and provide an exclusive package.”
The Xperia T is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich that will be upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in due course.
It has a 4.6-inch HD touchscreen, 13-megapixel camera, HD video recording, and also comes with four SmartTags and Sony PlayStation certification.
