Dealers connecting through the distributor can now process insurance claims, organise quotes and train staff

Avenir Telecom has launched a Financial Services Authority-approved insurance product which enables dealers to sell the service to the firm’s B2B customers.

Through online portal Avenir Telecom B2B Assured, dealers are able to process insurance applications, organise quotes and train staff, which is an FSA requirement, before they start selling insurance products.

Avenir can now offer three levels of cover – Gold, Silver and Bronze – providing handset collection and repair or replacement depending on the level of cover and the type of damage sustained.

Gold includes replacement handsets rather than a two to three-day wait for return of the repaired device as well as a specific BlackBerry service to remove the old handset from the account and set-up of a new one.

Silver policy holders receive a loan phone while their handset is being repaired.

All levels cover breakdown, accidental damage, theft, loss and liquid damage.

Avenir Telecom managing director Andy Tow (pictured) said: “We are always looking for added value products and services to give our dealers additional reasons to have conversations with their B2B customers at the same time as giving them more commission opportunities.”
