Former NTL sales person Steve Cox brought in to to drive the uptake of O2 Joined Up Communications

Daisy Distribution has appointed Steve Cox in the newly created role of fixed line sales specialist.

Cox (pictured), a former salesperson for NTL, will initially focus on O2 Joined Up Communications, working with both internal sales teams and partners to accelerate the uptake of the operator’s proposition.

Daisy Distribution is to establish a business referral model for partners who don’t have the resources to add fixed line services to their portfolio to allow them to still benefit in revenue from introducing O2 Joined Up, without having to invest in expertise.

As well as introducing this offer to new partners, Cox will also work with existing partners selling O2 Joined Up, or seeking to add the product set to their portfolios.

He will also assist them in the creation of sales campaigns and marketing plans, also working directly with the businesses to assist in unlocking revenue from their existing customer base to present a converged offering to new customers.

Daisy Distribution marketing director Julien Parven said: “Our plan for 2012 was always to look at bringing in someone with a fixed line background to bolster our sales teams. We recognise the dynamics of the network propositions and constantly look to align ourselves with them to add value and worth.

“Steve’s appointment demonstrates the next step forward in our evolution and I look forward to seeing the impact it makes.”

In addition, partners are being invited to one of a series of P2 fixed line sales workshops taking place in Q4 2012 and Q1 2013, or alternatively can contact Cox to develop the opportunity.
