Device will be available at the manufacturer’s branded store at Westfield Stratford City a day before it goes on general sale
The Samsung Galaxy Note II will go on sale at the manufacturer’s branded store at Westfield Stratford City this Sunday – the day before it goes on general sale.
The device will then be available from all major mobile networks, high street and out of town electrical retailers from Monday (October 1). It will be free on contracts from £41 a month.
An official launch will take place from midday on Sunday at the branded store, where customers will benefit from an exclusive price promotion when they buy the product. They will also be able to enter competitions to win a Galaxy Note II.
Samsung UK and Ireland vice president of telecommunications and networks Simon Stanford said: “We’ve had a great response to this new device since first announcing it at IFA last month, so wanted to do something a bit special for it around launch day.
“We’re looking forward to hearing what our customers have to say about the updated features and design of our latest Galaxy device when they get their hands on it this weekend.”
The Samsung Galaxy Note II, which comes with the manufacturer’s S-Pen, is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and will launch with the latest Android operating system, Jelly Bean 4.1.
It has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD touchscreen, eight-megapixel autofocus rear camera with flash, front-facing 1.9-megapixel camera, HD video recording and either 16,32 or 64GB of internal memory, that can be expanded by a further 64GB with a microSD card.
