A round-up of deals available from mobile retailers online and on the high street
Both the Nokia Lumia 610 and Samsung Galaxy Y are being offered with free gifts on contract. For £15.50 a month on T-Mobile with 100 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB of data, customers can get an Xbox 360 4GB with the Lumia 610 and a Toshiba 32-inch LCD TV with the Galaxy Y. Carphone is also continuing to slash prices on prepay. There is £100 off both the Sony Xperia U and Nokia Lumia 710, which both now cost £99.95, and £80 off the Sony Xperia Tipo, which now costs £89.95. The Xperia U is also free for £10 a month on a Talkmobile tariff offering 200 minutes, 5,000 texts and 250MB of data.
With the release of the iPhone 5, its predecessor the iPhone 4S 16GB in black and white is now free on Vodafone for £33 a month and comes with 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 500MB of data and 2GB of Wi-Fi. The Samsung Galaxy S III is free for £28.50 a month on an Orange Panther tariff that comes with 600 minutes, 3,000 texts, 1GB of data and Orange ‘Swapables’. Until the end of September, every purchase of the Sony Xperia S comes with free Sony headphones worth £49.99.
Customers buying the Samsung Galaxy S II, S III or Ace 2 will receive a free application that enables them to download the top 40 chart songs straight to the phone. Also, there is a free JanSport backpack with every purchase of the Nokia Lumia 610 on prepay, which has been reduced by £20 to £129.99. O2 is also running an offer with its On & On tariff on SIM-only until October 31, that sees £6 off the monthly line rental. Customers can receive unlimited calls, texts and 1GB of data for £20 a month. They can double their data allowance by paying £25 a month.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 in black is available for free on the operator’s Panther tariff for £15.50 a month with 50 minutes, 250 texts and one Swapable. Customers can double their minutes and texts allowance for an additional £5 a month. Also, those signing up for Orange home broadband will pay £10.50 a month for the handset.
The iPhone 4 8GB black is now available on the operator’s Full Monty tariff for £26 a month with an upfront payment of £29 for the handset. It comes with 2,000 cross-network minutes, unlimited minutes to other T-Mobile users, unlimited texts and unlimited web browsing. The BlackBerry Curve 9320 in white has had £10 knocked off its prepay price and now costs £129.99. Customers that join T-Mobile’s BlackBerry plan and top up by £10 a month will receive unlimited BBM and email. Those topping up by a further £5 a month will receive free internet access.
