Apple reignites iPad Mini rumours with October 23 event

Apple has sent out invitations to an event on October 23 saying ‘we’ve got a little more to show you’

Apple has confirmed it will hold an event on October 23 in California, sending out invitations which say “we’ve got a little more to show you.”

It comes after weeks of speculation that the company will release an ‘iPad Mini’. Apple is understood to have placed orders for 10 million of the devices, which will be smaller and cheaper than the iPad to better compete with eBook readers such as the kindle.

Although Apple have not confirmed any of the rumours concerning the size, price or specifications of the device, supposedly leaked pictures have emerged suggesting it will be between seven and eight inches.

Prices are expected to range from 249 euros (about £200) for an 8GB version with Wi-Fi to 649 euros (about £525) for a 64GB version with cellular.
