A round-up of deals available from mobile retailers online and on the high street
The newly-released Samsung Galaxy Note II is available for free on contract from £41 a month on both O2 and Orange. The O2 deal o ers unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data, whereas the Orange deal comes with 900 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data. The device is also available for £549.95 SIM-free. With the arrival of the Apple iPhone 5, its predecessor, the iPhone 4S has gone down in price. It is now free on a Vodafone contract costing £33 a month that comes with 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 500MB of data and 2GB of Wi-Fi with BT Openzone. Prepay-wise, there is £30 o the LG Optimus L3, which now costs £49.95.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is £5 a month cheaper than Carphone’s offering, free on Orange and O2 contracts costing £36 a month. The Orange tariff offers 600 minutes, 3,000 texts, 1GB of data and Orange ‘Swapables’, whereas the O2 deal is the same as that seen at Carphone. The recently launched Sony Xperia T is free on a Vodafone deal including 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 250MB of data and 1GB of Wi-Fi. The Nokia Lumia 800 is also half price on prepay, costing £149.95 on Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II in white is free on contract with T-Mobile via three packages – 900 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB of data, 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data or 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 1.5GB of data. The Samsung Galaxy S III is also free on contract with T-Mobile for £21 a month via three packages – 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 250MB of data, 100 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data or 50 minutes, 250 texts and 1.5GB of data. The iPhone 4S 16GB in black is free on contract for £30 a month on Three and comes with 100 minutes, 5,000 texts and unlimited data.
There is now £100 off the up-front price of the Galaxy Note, costing £29 a month on the operator’s On & On tariff for £31 a month with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data. The On & On Simplicity promotion runs until November 28. The SIM-only offer is reduced by £6 to £20 a month and comes with the same allowances as above. Both the Nokia Lumia 800 and HTC One V are free on contract for £13.50 a month, coming with 50 minutes, unlimited texts and 100MB of data. On prepay, there is £30 o the Nokia Lumia 610, which now costs £99.99.
The Samsung Galaxy S III, one of the few handsets to launch to coincide with the introduction of 4G by operator EE, is now on sale. It costs £49 up front on a contract costing £36 a month that comes with 2,000 cross-network minutes, unlimited calls to other T-Mobile numbers, unlimited texts and unlimited data. Anyone buying the Apple iPhone 4S 16GB in black on prepay for £409.99 can receive a year’s worth of free internet.
