The company has hired Michael Wolfe, who has worked for HP and Motorola, to replace senior vice president and chief information officer Rafael Sánchez
Brightstar Corporation has appointed a new senior vice president, chief information officer and chief technology officer.
Michael Wolfe will replace Rafael Sánchez, who is leaving the company. Wolfe comes from technology company Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), where he was senior vice president and chief information officer.
He has also worked for HP as vice president of product development and engineering IT, previous to which he spent more than 24 years at Motorola and microprocessor manufacturer Freescale Semiconductor.
Brightstar chairman and chief executive officer Marcelo Claure said: “Mike is highly regarded as a business innovator and has successfully led transformations in IT to reduce costs and streamline operations.
“His considerable experience and talents will help Brightstar to continue strengthening our IT infrastructure and improve efficiencies.”
