HTC has appointed ex-VP of Motorola Asia Pacific Benjamin Ho as chief marketing officer.
Ho will join the company in January and be responsible for worldwide marketing and branding.
His first project, ‘Marketing 2.0’, will refocus HTC brand to appeal to the mass market, a statement on the company’s website says. Current president of global sales and marketing Jason Mackensie will now focus on HTC’s sales strategy.
CEO Peter Chou said: “We welcome Benjamin to HTC and look forward to integrating the global marketing capabilities he brings to the company.”
Ho was previously vice president of business strategy and marketing at Far EasTone Telecommunications, and has served as vice president and chief marketing officer at Motorola Asia Pacific.
