Technology distributor brings in executive director and GM of its distribution arm, Brent McCarty, to replace Matt Sanderson
Ingram Micro has appointed Brent McCarty as its new UK and Ireland executive managing director.
He replaces Matt Sanderson, who held the role for three years and now returns to Australia to lead the company’s operations there.
McCarty (pictured) was executive director and general manager of DBL Distribution, a division of Ingram Micro, for almost four years. He joined the company in January 2006 as director of VAR sales before being made a senior director of the division in November 2007.
In his new role, he will report to Ingram Micro EMEA UK, Belgium and Netherlands regional vice president Johan Vandenbussche and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business in the UK and Ireland.
Replacing McCarty is executive director of global sales and east campus Tom Bamrick, who was responsible for US domestic revenues and partnership development for Ingram Micro’s global partners.
Ingram Micro North America executive vice president Paul Bay said: “We are very pleased to have this strong talent in our ranks that we can call upon during times of change and transition.
“Brent and Tom are seasoned and respected industry professionals, and we are confident they will deliver new growth and opportunity for our business.”
