MLL Telecom appoints new CTO to oversee 4G bid

MLL Telecom has appointed former Nokia Siemens Networks and Motorola Networks technical sales director Peter Jennings as CTO

Managed network provider MLL Telecom has appointed a new chief technology officer to oversee its bid for 4G spectrum.

Last year MLL Telecom successfully applied to take part in the auction for the 4G resource, along with the UK’s four major operators, BT and a Hong-Kong based company.

Today it appointed Peter Jennings, who has worked for Nokia Siemens Networks and Motorola Networks as technical sales director, as its new CTO.

He also previously held the role of head of pre-sales, design and architecture for MLL Telecom

As well as overseeing the 4G auction, Jennings will be responsible for business development, product management, engineering, IT and design. He will be based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

He said: “With the recent decision to bid in the UK’s 4G auction – this year is set to be an interesting time for all concerned at MLL Telecom.”

CEO Gary Marven said: “Peter’s drive, dedication and in-depth understanding of the sector and technology developments, made him the perfect man for the role. I have no doubt that MLL Telecom will go from strength to strength with Peter as its CTO.”
