O2 stores to stock Gusto Juice chargers from February

Product to be stocked in over 1,000 retail stores during Q1 as it also strikes deal with Carphone Warehouse Ireland

Gusto Telecom Solutions has signed a deal with O2 UK for the network to sell its Juice charging products in all of its 460 stores.

Gusto, which was launched in August, will begin dispatching the products to O2 later this month, ready for sale across the operator’s retail estate in February.

The Coventry-based firm will also begin selling the Juice products outside the UK for the first time after it struck an agreement with mobile hardware distributor Fónua, formerly 20:20 Mobile Ireland, for supply of the products into Carphone Warehouse Ireland’s 90 stores.

The retail agreements mean the products will be sold in over 1,000 retail outlets nationwide before the end of the first quarter of this year.

Gusto signed deals with Fonehouse and John Lewis in November to sell Juice. Last month, Dixons Store Group agreed to range the products across 298 PC World and Currys Digital stores, with telecoms provider Jersey Telecom taking stock of them for sale across the Channel Islands. Trials have also been agreed with an additional two unnamed major retail chains.

Juice chargers, which are packaged in cardboard drinks cartons with the strapline ‘Juice for your mobile’, are compatible with all mobile phones and are priced from £14.99 to £19.99 each.

Gusto Telecom Solutions managing director Joe Bennett said: “The O2 retail estate is one of the most prestigious chains in the UK and we are immensely proud to have been selected from a very competitive ranging process. Gusto looks forward to offering more products and brands to O2 in the coming months.”
