BlackBerry’s first QWERTY device to run on its new operating system will launch in April, the manufacturer says
The BlackBerry Q10 release date has been confirmed for April, as the manufacturer says it is working closely with carriers to “accelerate” testing of the device.
The Q10 is the first handset with a QWERTY keyboard to run on its new operating system, BlackBerry 10.
The Z10, a touchscreen device, was released at the end of January.
BlackBerry chief operating officer Thorsten Heins said he expects the first global carriers to launch the Q10 in April.
“We are working closely with our carrier partners to accelerate their testing process,” he said.
