Sunday Times ranks network operator as 18th best large firm for employees in annual list
EE has been ranked as number 18 in the Sunday Times list of the 25 best big companies to work for.
The ratings are based on a number of workplace opinion surveys and visits to staff, taking into consideration how employees feel about senior managers, workloads, firms’ contribution to local communities and benefits packages for staff.
It was the first time the operator had made it into the top 25 and, in a statement to staff, CEO Olaf Swantee said he was proud it had achieved one of the goals EE had targeted from day one.
In a letter to employees he thanked staff for their contribution and added: “Over the last few years we’ve used the Best Companies survey to understand how you feel about working here.
“Our challenge now is to continue to become an even better company both for you as employees, and also for our customers. We’ll be doing that by never resting on our laurels, always staying one step ahead of the competition, and making sure that we listen to your feedback.”
EE was the highest placed telecoms firm and overall placed behind Pets at Home, Iceland Foods, IHG Hotels, hospitality firm Bourne Leisure and car retailer Sytner Group – who made up the top five.
