LSG to provide Nationwide customers with mobile insurance

Phones 4U’s security arm to provide services to five million of the building society’s FlexPlus Account holders

Lifestyle Services Group (LSG) has announced a tie up with Nationwide Building Society to provide its FlexPlus Account holders with mobile phone insurance.

It will be offered to the society’s five million current account customers and also new customers in the UK, available to them 24 hours a day through LSG’s centres of excellence in Hersham and Crewe.

LSG will also provide extended warranty, a payment card cancellation services and an identity fraud helpline into the packaged account, with travel insurance and car breakdown provided by others.

The firm said more than nine million customers are now able to benefit from protection of their mobile phone to cover repair and replacement of handsets that can commonly cost £650 or more to replace.

LSG business development director Andy Morris said: “Our team is privileged to be associated with Nationwide Building Society and we look forward to providing their members with the same high standard of service they already enjoy from the Flex Account range.

“Being selected to provide the majority of the non-banking features in the FlexPlus account is real testament to LSG’s experience in bringing together different market suppliers and offering a seamless single customer experience.”
