A round-up of deals available from mobile retailers online and on the high street


The Sony Xperia Z in black and white is free on Orange for £36 a month with 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data. It is also available in purple but will cost £3 a month more on an O2 deal that provides 1,200 minutes, unlimited texts and 100MB of data. Additionally, it also available on O2’s On&On tariff for £41 a month with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 2GB of data. The HTC One is now available to pre-order for its March 15 release date with all deals coming with Dr Dre urBeats earphones or Beats by Dr Dre Solo headphones. The best deal offered is on Orange, where the phone is free for £36 a month with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data.


The retailer goes one better with the HTC One. It costs £99 up front on a Vodafone deal with 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 500MB of data and 2GB of Wi-Fi for £33 a month. In addition to the earphones/headphones on offer, Phones 4U is also giving away a phone case worth over £100. The Samsung Galaxy S III continues to fall in price. It is now free for £21 a month on Vodafone with 100 minutes, unlimited texts, 100MB of data and 1GB of Wi-Fi. The Apple iPhone 4S 16GB in black and white is also being heavily pushed. It costs £29.95 up front on a Vodafone deal costing £25 a month with the same allowances that come with the Galaxy S III but with double the data.


The operator is heavily pushing its ‘The Works’ tariff. The Samsung Galaxy S III LTE and Sony Xperia T are both available for £36 a month on the tariff with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 1GB of data and one free ‘Swapable’. The former costs £49.99 up front, whereas the latter costs £19.99 up front. The Nokia Lumia 820 LTE in black is also being pushed, this time on ‘The Works 26’ tariff. It is free with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 250MB of data and one free ‘Swapable’.


The Sony Xperia Z in black and purple and the HTC One (for pre-order only at present) are now available on the operator’s On&On tariff for £37 a month. The former costs £49 up front with the One costing £20 more, with the tariff offering unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data. The Samsung Galaxy S III mini is free for £22 a month with 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data for £22 a month.


The Nokia Lumia 920 in yellow and BlackBerry Z10 are both being pushed on the operator’s Red Data plan, free for £42 a month with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 2GB of data. There is £2 a month off the line rental for the Samsung Galaxy Ace, which now offers 100 minutes, unlimited texts and 50MB of data for £11 a month. Customers can double their data for an additional £2 a month.
