Boucher to leave Vodafone in June

Virgin Media director of customer services Jonathan Kini to take on the role in the latest change to the operator’s enterprise business

Vodafone UK commercial marketing director Peter Boucher will leave the operator at the end of June to pursue other interests.

He will be replaced by Virgin Media director of customer services Jonathan Kini, who will join the enterprise management team to take charge of marketing and commercial functions.

Boucher (pictured) has held a number of global positions during his 11 years at the operator.  These include roles in Vodafone Group launching Mobile Office and Vodafone live!, and subsequently as chief commercial officer of Vodafone Hungary. He has spent the past three-and-a-half years in his most recent role.

Kini has spent eight years at Virgin Media and has held a number of roles at the firm across finance, commercial and marketing and most recently, director of customer services. He was the company’s director of mobile for two years between January 2009 and February 2011.

Boucher’s departure follows that of enterprise director Peter Kelly and director of small business Tim Stone.

Kelly left earlier this month to be replaced by former Vodafone Ireland CEO Jeroen Hoencamp, while Stone exited in January and was replaced by sales director Nick Birtwistle.

Earlier this month, Stone joined telecommunications group Viacloud as chief commercial officer, charged with driving growth of its UK business.
