BlackBerry launches BES10 for EE business customers

New enterprise mobile management software available on the network in April from £15 per month

EE will be the first UK operator to support the new BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 service, which allows companies to secure and manage their mobile devices.

The service will be available to the network’s public sector and corporate clients from Tuesday (April 2) and supports iOS and Android-based devices as well as BlackBerrys.

The web-based management software costs £15 per month and includes user licences, server software and dedicated BlackBerry support with 1GB of 3G mobile data. A 4G version is also available for an additional £3.

EE director of business Max Taylor said: “Alongside our Secure Mobility management software, the introduction of BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 means we are the only network operator to offer enterprise-grade security across all mobile operating systems, both 3G and 4G.”

BlackBerry UK MD Rob Orr added: “BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 builds on our decade long leadership in the mobile enterprise space with a unique end-to-end, multi-platform enterprise mobility management solution.

“We’re delighted that the network’s enterprise customers will now be able to avail of a mobile enterprise solution that blends unrivalled security with maximum usability.”
