Sports brand to sell Bluetooth hardware manufacturer’s IT7 headphone range in more than 200 of its stores throughout Europe from early spring
Bluechipworld has signed a reseller agreement with global sports brand Champion to stock its iT7 headphone range through its stores and its website.
The over-the-head iT7x and around-the-head iT7s headphones will be available from Champion’s 200-plus stores in 12 EU countries, as well as from its European retail website, www.championstore.eu, from early spring.
Alongside this partnership, Bluechipworld will also manufacture entry to mid-tier Champion-branded headphones and earphones on behalf of the sports brand.
The iT7 range, developed in partnership with endorsement company Stadia Sports and Lifestyle – headed by former Premiership footballer Ian Taylor (pictured wearing the iT7x headphones) – are currently on sale in 15 countries. In the UK they are available at retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Amazon and Play.com, and Vodafone and Carphone Warehouse in Ireland.
Bluechipworld managing director Simon Hassell said: “The deal with Champion is massive for us, so much so that we’re predicting sales of iT7 could double as a result. The penetration and sales of the iT7 range is growing by the day. The response from both the public and celebrities using the product has been exceptional.
“We are strengthening our product portfolio further and the new partnership with Champion is incredibly exciting and will help us grow sales, especially for the iT7s sports Bluetooth earphones where they have a natural synergy.”
Champion Products Europe managing director Chris Hegarty said: “We were looking to expand our product portfolio and look for brand extension opportunities – iT7 and Bluechipworld seemed to be the perfect fit given their experience in the sector. While not a ‘traditional’ product category for Champion, we thought the design, technology and functionality of the iT7 earphones and headphones would be a welcome addition into the Champion fitness range.”
Bluechipworld is holding an event on May 9 in Birmingham to formally announce the new partnership.
