Larger device in the Mega range and entry-level handset to initially be available from the Samsung Experience Store at Westfield Stratford City
Samsung has confirmed that its Galaxy Mega 6.3 phablet and Galaxy Pocket Neo handset will go on sale in the UK from mid-May.
Both will be available from the Samsung Experience Store at Westfield Stratford City before going on sale at all major mobile operators.
The second device in the phablet range announced earlier today, the Galaxy Mega 5.8, will not be ranged in the UK.
The Galaxy Mega 6.3 (pictured left) is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core AP processor and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It has a HD touchscreen, eight-megapixel rear camera, 1.9-inch front camera and eight or 16GB of internal memory that can be increased by up to 64GB with a microSD card.
It features ‘Group Play’ to enable content sharing for up to eight devices on the same Wi-Fi network; ‘Samsung Link’ to stream multimedia content to a TV, tablet or PC; ‘S Translator’ to translate voice or text messages; and ‘ChatON’ to share screen content with friends.
The Galaxy Pocket Neo (pictured right) is powered by a 850MHz processor and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It has a two megapixel rear camera, three-inch screen and 4GB of internal memory that can be expanded by a further 32GB with a microSD card.
