MVNO offers £5 a month discount to its existing TV, broadband and home phone customers, with additional unlimited allowances to other Virgin Mobile users
Virgin Media will make the Samsung Galaxy S4 available to its TV, broadband or home phone from £31 a month when it begins selling the smartphone on Saturday.
With an upfront payment of £99, existing customers will receive 200 minutes, 500 texts and 500MB of data. For £36 a month they will be provided with 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data, while paying $1 a month will offer them 2,500 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data.
Those wishing to pay £69 upfront for the Galaxy S4 will pay an additional £2 a month in line rental.
Existing TV, broadband and home phone customers will also receive calls from Virgin home phone to Virgin mobiles during inclusive calling periods, unlimited calls and texts to other Virgin mobiles and inclusive insurance worth £7.99 – a saving of over £90 a year with guaranteed next day replacement.
New customers will pay £5 more a month for the standard tariff allowances as well as the same upfront charges for the handset, and will also receive unlimited calls to UK landlines from £44 a month.
Virgin Media executive director of mobile and home phone Graeme Oxby said: “We’ve had record levels of interest in the Samsung Galaxy S4 so we’re delighted to offer our customers exclusive treats they can’t get elsewhere, including a fiver off their monthly bill and inclusive insurance.
