The manufacturer has promoted head of consumer marketing Adam Johnson to the role of marketing director
Nokia has promoted its head of consumer marketing, Adam Johnson, to the role of marketing director for the UK and Ireland.
Johnson replaces John Nichols, who is now Nokia’s global head of brand strategy.
As marketing director Johnson will oversee all strategic planning, retail, and above and below the line activity with a focus on Nokia’s Lumia range.
He joined Nokia’s UK arm in 2011 after five years with Nokia’s Australia, where he worked as senior marketing manager.
Johnson said: “I am incredibly passionate about this wonderful brand and am privileged to be able to continue to help drive Nokia’s turnaround in one of its most important markets.
“With the team I have working with me together with the products we are bringing to market, it couldn’t be a more exciting time to be taking the marketing reins for Nokia in the UK and Ireland.”
