O2 partners with Victoria Pendleton for ‘Priority Sports’ campaign

The operator will offer discounts on bikes from Halfords and sunglasses from Oakley throughout June

O2 has partnered with Halfords, Oakley and double Olympic Gold medallist Victoria Pendleton to provide customers with a range of summer themed discounts.

The operator’s ‘Priority Sports’ campaign will run throughout June and offer money off Apollo and Pendleton bike ranges. Discounts of 20 per cent will also be offered on Oakley sunglasses.

O2 will promote the deals with ‘Joy of Cycling’ advertisements featuring Pendleton. Her top training songs will be available to stream on application O2 Tracks.

O2 head of priority and sponsorship Mark Stevenson said: “We hope to encourage millions of people to get on their bike and have fun, whether that’s racing or for going out for a leisurely ride on a sunny day. Our partnerships with Halfords, Oakley and Victoria Pendleton means there’s something for every cyclist this summer.”

Oakley UK brand director Tom Cartmale said: “We are excited to collaborate with O2 Priority Sports on a campaign that celebrates the joy of cycling and enables us to build on our long-term relationship with Vicky.

“We hope the exclusive offers available to O2 customers at Sunglass Hut and David Clulow Opticians nationwide will inspire more people to ride their bikes, and look good while doing it.”
