GSMA Intelligence will provide coverage of the performance of 1,140 operators and 1,153 MVNOs worldwide
Mobile operators association GSMA has launched a new data and analysis service for the mobile industry.
‘GSMA Intelligence’ is an online portal that, the organisation said, will host the largest collection of data on mobile operators.
It comprises over 13 million bits of data which means the service can provide coverage of the performance of all 1,140 operators and 1,153 MVNOs across 236 countries worldwide.
The service will also feature market insights produced by a team of analysts.
A basic version of the service is available free of charge and includes a snapshot of every mobile market worldwide, listing the key figures and players.
Free tool ‘Timeline’ tracks the evolution of the mobile industry and is designed to provide an introduction to the industry for mobile users.
Paid subscriptions offer unrestricted access to all datasets, reports and platform features.
GSMA director general Anne Bouverot said: “The GSMA is in a unique position to provide the intelligence and insights that organisations require to drive future growth and innovation. We’re excited to be addressing this key issue with today’s launch of GSMA Intelligence.”
Chief strategy officer Hyunmi Yang said: “GSMA Intelligence enables the GSMA to support strategic decision-making within the industry through the provision of credible market information and analysis.
“It is critical that industry leaders have accurate and relevant information at their fingertips – the GSMA Intelligence platform will serve this need, making sense of the data and highlighting the trends that matter most for their businesses.”
