Secure Work Space, which allows users to separate corporate and personal data, is no longer exclusive to BlackBerry devices
BlackBerry has made its security solution, Secure Work Space, available to iOS and Android users.
The software, which until now has only been available on BlackBerry devices running on the manufacturer’s latest operating system for businesses, BES10, allows users to separate corporate data from personal data.
Secure Work Space also includes document editing capabilities with BlackBerry’s ‘documents to go’ software.
While BES10 is free to download, Secure Work Space has an annual cost of $99 (£64) per device.
BlackBerry executive vice president of enterprise mobile computing David J. Smith said: “In today’s ‘bring your own device’ world, Secure Work Space is a differentiated solution that brings key elements of the BlackBerry security platform and mobile device management to iOS and Android devices.”
