Regional MD for EMEA takes on responsibility for the UK and Ireland following the resignation of Rob Orr last month

BlackBerry has promoted its regional managing director for EMEA, Robert Bose, to the vacant UK and Ireland managing director position.

Bose, who has been with BlackBerry since 2006, replaces former UK and Ireland managing director Rob Orr, who left the business last month.

He will assume responsibility for both the UK and Ireland immediately, in addition to his existing duties in the EMEA region.

BlackBerry refused to comment on whether the appointment would be a permanent or interim role.

BlackBerry vice president of global distribution Angelo Fasulo has been linked to the UK position.
