Samsung executive escapes San Francisco plane crash

Media head David Eun was aboard the Asiana Airlines plane which crash-landed on Saturday (July 6) killing two passengers

Samsung Executive VP David Eun has revealed he was one of the passengers on the Asiana Boeing 777 which crash landed at San Francisco airport last week (July 6) killing two passengers.

Former Google man Eun, who is based in New York , tweeted immediately after evacuating the vessel, and photographed the plane which showed its tail missing and flames engulfing the wreckage.

Eun wrote whilst on the runway:“I just crash landed at SFO. Tail ripped off. Most everyone seems fine. I’m ok. Surreal. Haven’t felt this way since 9/11. Trying to help people stay calm. Deep breaths…”

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg later revealed she and her family had booked the same flight, but changed their travel plans shortly before.
