LG readies device launch with customer-led online campaign

Customers to have messages to loved ones displayed on London’s Piccadilly Circus giant screen, plus prizes worth up to £3,300 

LG is gearing up for its August 7 handset launch in New York, with a new campaign designed to encourage loved ones to share their “special moments” online.

The campaign, called ‘To Me, You Are Perfect’, launched today (July 15) and runs until the day before the launch.

Customers can post their video and photograph messages through LG’s website, YouTube channel or Facebook account.

Clips will be selected and displayed across a number of the firm’s outdoor advertising screens, including those in London’s Piccadilly Circus, and New York’s Time Square.

The clip which receives the highest number of likes and viewings will be deemed the winner, with the customer receiving a prize valued around £3,300.

Forty randomly selected entrants will receive an LG G Series smartphones with a further 500 receiving an LG Pocket Photo printer.

LG electronics mobile communications company CEO and president Dr Jong-seok Park said: 
“This event is about thanking our customers and fans and showing our appreciation to everyone who exemplifies our Life’s Good philosophy.”
