The manufacturer has chosen to showcase its latest device, which comes with HD video and is 4G and NFC enabled, at Berlin-based trade show IFA
Manufacturer Acer is to unveil its Liquid S2 smartphone at Berlin-based electronics trade show IFA this week.
The six-inch smartphone comes with HD video, a 13 megapixel camera and 4G connectivity. It runs on Qualcomm’s quad-core 2.2GHz processor, and has 2GB or internal memory and 16GB of external memory expandable to 128GB.
Features include ‘smart best shot’, which automatically detects the conditions the photo is being taken in and takes multiple shots and ‘quick first shot’ which allows users to take a picture from the unlock screen.
The device is also enabled with ‘near field communications’ (NFC) technology, which means it can be used to make contact-less mobile payments.
Red and black versions of the smartphone will be available at the end of October, and exact pricing and availability will be announced soon, Acer said.
