Operator says new Apple handsets will be available on 4GEE as well as Orange and T-Mobile plans from September 20
EE is to offer the iPhone 5S (pictured left) and iPhone 5C on 4GEE, Orange and T-Mobile following Apple’s reveal of the new devices last night.
The handsets will be available for pre-order from this Friday ahead of their launch on September 20.
Customers with eligible devices will be able to upgrade to either the iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C through EE’s ‘Swap’ plan, which was announced yesterday.
‘Swap’ will go live on September 17, allowing customers to upgrade from any point from month six into their 18 or 24 month contract. The service requires users to return their existing handset and enter a new 24 month 4GEE, as well as paying a one off fee linked to the contract they are moving to.
The eligible ‘Swap’ devices are the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, HTC One and iPhone 5.
EE said in a statement: “EE today announced it will offer iPhone 5s, the most forward-thinking smartphone in the world, and iPhone 5c, the most colourful iPhone yet, to customers beginning on Friday, September 20. iPhone 5c will be available for pre-order on Friday, September 13.”
