Kondor signs up Polish manufacturer GoClever

Accessories distributor to supply independent mobile retailers with firm’s R106 tablet

Kondor has signed a deal with electronics manufacturer GoClever to distribute its tablets in the UK.

Kondor partnered with the Polish firm, which also manufactures smartphones, to distribute the new GoClever R106 (pictured) to independent mobile retailers.

The device is a 10.1-inch Android tablet with a dual-core processor and 1GB of internal memory.

GoClever distributor Reverse Logistics’s European sales manager, Mark Holmes, said discussions to get the device into Carphone Warehouse were also taking place.

It is the second distribution deal signed by GoClever in the past month, after it partnered with Ireland’s biggest electronics supplier, MSE, on its Fone 570Q smartphone. The deal includes order fulfilments for digital shopping channel Ideal Shopping. The Fone 570Q is an Android smartphone with dual-SIM capabilities and a 5.7-inch screen.

GoClever is in talks with Tesco and Dixons to offer phones and tablets through MSE.

Holmes said: “We are in discussion with a number of phone distributors, partnering with MSE to distribute to Ideal Shopping, and they are also in discussion with Tesco and Dixons.

“Kondor has already placed an order for tablets which will see them go into independent retail stores, and they also work with Carphone Warehouse. It’s an open-ended deal and they are also interested in GoClever phones.”
