Jason Birt tasked with developing new business opportunities as distributor adds 11 graduates to its sales graduate programme

Micro-P has appointed former IBM employee Jason Birt as sales manager.

Birt, who also held a senior sales role at Barracuda Networks, will be tasked with focusing on developing new business opportunities.

The news coincides with the appointment of eleven graduates to Micro-P’s sales graduate programme.

Under the scheme, Micro-P’s Basingstoke-based sales team will mentor graduates in sales, marketing, negotiating, client and account management and product training.

Micro-P HR director Nick Foster said: “The sales graduate programme is a major investment by us on behalf or our vendors and customers. The chosen graduates will be equipped with the best sales and product training to allow them to really understand our customers’ requirements and how best they can be met.

“Our vendors will also benefit from a focus on adding breadth and delivering relevant, targeted messaging to new customers.

“The growth we have experienced over the last few years has allowed us to continually promote and develop staff internally and we really feel that recruiting high potential graduates will complement our existing recruitment sources.”
