Samsung launches campaign to showcase Galaxy S4 collection


Short films to demonstrate the features of five smartphones, broadcast on manufacturer’s YouTube channel and additional social media outlets

Samsung Mobile UK has launched a digital media campaign to showcase its latest range of Android devices available as part of its Galaxy S4 smartphone portfolio.

It showcases the manufacturer’s flagship product, the Galaxy S4, and also includes the Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Zoom and Galaxy Mega.

A series of films, entitled ‘Over To You’, have been created to demonstrate the potential of this collection. Each shows how different individuals are using Samsung’s technology in new and creative ways, dependent on their lifestyles and interests.

The first 12 pieces will debut on the Samsung Mobile UK YouTube channel, with the website set to be populated with additional content over the coming weeks.

Content includes BMX park rider Harry Main showing off the slow motion mode on the Galaxy S4’s camera, F2 freestylers Jeremy and Billy using the Galaxy Mega to capture point of view shots of their latest routines and fashion blogger Camilla Ackley scouting locations in Notting Hill for her blog using the Galaxy S4 Mini to capture inspiration through photos and videos.

Other content features Aardman Animation designer Gavin Strange filming a music video using the dual camera functionality on the Galaxy S4, freerunner and photographer enthusiast Paul Parkour capturing his latest freerunning jaunt on the Galaxy S4 Active and magician Paul Hathway incorporating the Galaxy S4 Mini into his magic tricks around the streets of Edinburgh.

All collaborators will feature their videos on their own social media channels, with content used in-store and on Samsung Mobile UK’s other social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter. The ‘Over To You’ campaign follows the Galaxy S4 Collection print campaign – ‘Designed for him – used by you’ which launched on July 26.
