Virgin Media Business launches 4G on EE network

Faster speeds for public and private sector organisations, enabling customers to integrate their fixed and mobile services through one supplier

Virgin Media Business has launched 4G mobile services for public and private sector organisations through EE. The business-grade 4G service will be offered as part of the company’s range of telecoms services.

The company said new and existing customers will have the opportunity to integrate their fixed and mobile communications through one supplier, ending the need to manage a different provider for each service, saving money, time and complexity.

It added the faster speeds will provide services such as mobile email, the ability to connect a desk phone and mobile seamlessly, online portals for support and billing and telephone support for users and customer administrators. The service is available on 15 handsets across the Android, Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry 10 operating systems,

Virgin Media Business director of products and marketing Duncan Higgins said: “We’re simplifying things for our customers by being the single supplier for all their telecoms needs. With 4G, you can get more done, work flexibly and bring your professional applications together on a single device. Remote working is now the norm and adding 4G to our services increases our customers’ options for working in a way that suits them.

“CIOs up and down the country have told us they believe mobile communications will be essential for the future of their organisation, but they also need a base of operations. In response, our new service builds on our existing connectivity, convergence and collaboration services while enabling businesses to give staff safe, secure mobile access to the tools and data they need.”
