App aimed at informing users of Galaxy handsets of software updates and accessories, as well as providing help to the most commonly asked questions
Samsung has launched ‘My Galaxy’, an application designed to help Galaxy smartphone owners get the most out of their devices.
The app, created in partnership with mobile payments provider Monitise Create, informs users of the latest software updates and the latest accessories for the phone through the app’s m-commerce storefront, with access to over 300 products and real-time stock availability.
It can also answer questions for users about services and features on their smartphone with the app’s on-device assistant, powered by Google Voice, as well as provide exclusive offers from film and music content, to tickets for live events.
The ‘My Galaxy’ app is available to download from Google Play for the Samsung Galaxy S II, S III and S4, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Fame and Galaxy S III Mini. It will then be pre-installed on devices sold in the UK later this year.
Samsung UK and Ireland vice president of IT and mobile division Simon Stanford (pictured) said: “The introduction of My Galaxy brings together everything that a Galaxy owner needs to get the most out of their device and we’re delighted to be pioneering the concept first in the UK.”
