  1. A good friend with great wit and the best of company. I’ll never forget Phatty telling me how a nice heel extenuates the look of a ladies leg, and we spent the rest of dinner discussing it. Miss you, and so sad for Helen and Poppy.x

  2. Such sad news a truly nice guy who will be greatly missed by all in the industry. RIP Angus. My heart felt sympathy goes out to his wife and daughter x

  3. Very sad news indeed. Gus was a great, larger than life character who I got to know almost 20 years ago, as my customer, when I was starting out in the world of mobile comms. He was generous of spirit and a lot of fun, and certainly helped me to develop my career. I am proud to have been his friend. My partner Lucy and her family have known Gus’ wife Helen’s family for more than 30 years, and in recent years Angus and Helen have been generous hosts for our family on several occasions. If there is a ‘petrol-head heaven’ I hope that’s where you’re at old mate! Our condolences to Helen, Poppy and all Angus’ family and friends. RIP

  4. Gus was an amazing driving force, totally dedicated, highly intelligent and one of life’s biggest characters, not too mention bloody quick on two or four wheels. I can honestly say that my time at Unique under his leadership was the most challenging and enjoyable period of my career. He lived life to the full and was an industry legend. My sympathies to Helen and Poppy.

  5. Sad on so many levels, a great and loyal friend. A real personality within our industry that will be missed by all.

My thoughts are with his family.
