Gusto goes global with new offices in the US and Australia

Company to open premises in Ontario and Sydney after gaining trademarks for its Juice brand in both countries

Gusto Telecom Solutions is taking its accessories business global by opening offices in the US and Australia at the start of next year.

Gusto, which manufactures charging accessories under the ‘Juice’ brand, will open premises in Ontario, near Los Angeles, California, in the US and Sydney in Australia in Q1 2014, having gained trademarks for its brand in both countries.

Gusto managing director Joe Bennett told Mobile News that the Coventry-based company, which was set up in August 2012, is in negotiations with a number of retailers in both countries to stock its products.

It will initially trade with them through its sorting office in Shenzhen, China, as it searches for suitable warehouse facilities in the two countries.

International market
The news follows an earlier announcement that its Juice products would be available in Spain, Hungary and Italy through its partnership with distributor Frequency Telecom.

In the UK it has retail partnerships with DSGi, Carphone Warehouse, O2, John Lewis, Sainsbury’s, Staples and Fonehouse.

Bennett said: “With the various brands we are launching, we have managed to gain trademarks all over the world, both inside and outside of Europe.

“One of the first countries that we applied for a trademark on Juice was the US. The US market is something like 10 times the size of the UK market and is therefore commercially hugely appealing. A similar theory applies to Australia. I see this as a massive opportunity.”
