MVNO introduces refreshed line up of SIM only tariffs starting at £3.50, as well as double data offers for online sales
Talk Talk Mobile has introduced a £3.50 SIM only tariff as part of a general refresh which will also see it offer unlimited calls and texts for the first time.
The £3.50 tariff – which TalkTalk claims is Britain’s cheapest – runs for 12 months and offers 100 minutes, 250 texts and 100mb of data. The plan can also be purchased on a rolling monthly contract for £5.
Under its new strategy, TalkTalk will double the data allowance when SIM only plans are bought online.
Call and text allowances have also been increased in the MVNO’s existing ‘medium’ and ‘large’ offerings. The medium tariff offers 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data for £7.50 on a 12 month contract or £10 on a rolling monthly deal, while the large tariff offer unlimited calls and texts plus 2GB of data for £15 on a 12 month contract or £17.50 on a rolling deal.
TalkTalk, which uses Vodafone’s network, said that more than 2000,000 customers have signed up to smartphone or SIM only deals since it launched last year.
TalkTalk Mobile director Dan meader said: “A big appeal of TalkTalk Mobile is our firm value for money position. We offer some of the most premium handsets available for the most competitive price.
“Our new tariffs are centered around having more time to chat, text and surf the net without paying a penny extra. With more handsets than people out there, our SIM only price plans are perfect for people who want to keep their current handset or hand it down to their children, without having to take a pricey contract. We want people to have more choice and flexibility.”
