Free and unlimited Wi-Fi now available across company’s 45 hotels in the UK, with the service now available in more than 18,000 UK venues
Macdonald Hotels & Resorts has signed a deal with The Cloud to offer free Wi-Fi in its 45 hotels in the UK.
It will see the Wi-Fi provider make internet available for an unlimited time across public hotel areas, meeting rooms and all bedrooms.
The deal with Macdonald Hotels and Resorts is The Cloud’s latest within the hospitality sector, adding to its portfolio of 1,250 hotels including Marriott and Crowne Plaza hotels across 13 European countries.
It also adds to The Cloud’s existing portfolio of 18,000 venues in the UK using its Wi-Fi service, including M&S, Pizza Express, Pret, Caffe Nero and Eat.
The Cloud managing director Vince Russell (pictured) said: “The demand for Wi-Fi access is constantly growing and hospitality is key to this because a hotel should be a ‘home-from-home’ – the ability to access fast, free internet is part of that experience.”
Macdonald Hotels chief executive David Guile added: “More and more guests see free, reliable internet access as a crucial part of their hotel visit, whether that’s using social media to share holiday updates, business travellers who want to catch up on emails or access documents remotely or conference organisers who need to enable delegates full access to the internet as part of their training, presentation or workshop.”
