Mobile services group Viacloud has appointed former Vodafone and Sainsbury’s Mobile employee James Gray as marketing director.

He became interim marketing director of Mobile by Sainsbury’s in October 2012, where he led the launch of the MVNO joint venture between the supermarket and Vodafone.
Viacloud is a mobile virtual network aggregator (MVNA) which helps businesses launch mobile services on partner network EE.
Its chief commercial officer Tim Stone said: “We are very excited to further enhance our team of experts with someone of James’s calibre. The sheer depth of James’s knowledge and experience will give immediate benefit to both our customers and partners.”
Gray said: “I have been looking for the next exciting opportunity in the MVNO market and I believe that with the strength of the management team, the fantastic “can do” culture and a high quality fast and flexible platform I have found an opportunity to drive change and innovation into the market and grow successful telecoms businesses.”
