Gusto lands exclusive Crystalusion distribution deal

Distributor close to signing an agreement with a major high street retailer for exclusive sales rights until next year

Gusto Telecom Services has been made the exclusive distributor for the Crystalusion Liquid Glass Protection product.

It launched in August 2012, partnering with both Elite Mobile and Gusto Telecom. However, Crystalusion supplier Solution in Media has now handed exclusive distribution rights to the latter.

Since the partnership was signed, Gusto has established relationships with a number of key consumer retailers, including Amazon, Mobile Fun and Clove Technology. Elite is understood to have established a partnership with eXpansys, which Gusto will now control.

Gusto MD Joe Bennett told Mobile News he’s on the verge of signing a deal for a high street retailer to exclusively sell the £7.99 product until the end of the year.

Bennett said: “We’re always looking to get involved with innovative accessories, as proven with our Juice range, and as Crystalusion is something that can create its own niche, it made us the natural choice to go exclusive with.”

Solution in Media UK general manager Ben Coull added: “Gusto has demonstrated its ability to deliver innovative products so they were a natural fit for the way we’d like to go.”

Crystalusion can be used to protect screens and plastic, metal and glass external casing on phones, tablets, cameras, satellite navigation systems and PC monitors, from germs and bacteria, liquid, dust, abrasion and fingerprints for up to a year.

Each pack contains two sachets – in one is a cloth to clean the device and in the other is a cloth containing the liquid glass solution. Users then wipe the device until the cloth is dry. It takes up to six hours to set fully.
