Online accessories retailer announces 42.6 per cent increase year-on-year on international orders placed in the run up to Christmas

Mobile accessories retailer Mobile Fun has attributed growth in its Christmas orders to a major increase in international orders.

The Birmingham-based company said that international orders placed across all of its websites from December 1 to 19 were up 42.6 per cent on the year before.

In the same period, Mobile Fun received almost 38,000 orders and is set to finish 2013 with sales amounting to more than £1.1 million per month for September, October, November and December.

Mobile Fun, which serves more than 30 countries through dedicated websites and six international offices, opened a new office located a mile away from its main office to focus on international growth plans.

Mobile Fun managing director Mohammed Hussain (pictured) said: “Tablet accessories are in particularly high demand in the run up to Christmas, and across all our Mobile Fun websites, we have already experienced a significant surge in orders for cases and screen protectors in particular. As lower priced tablets appear on the market, our product range is also appealing to new customers.”
