Apple and China Mobile sign ‘multi-year’ deal

The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c are coming to the world’s largest network on January 17

Apple and China Mobile have signed an agreement which will see the operator offer the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s in its retail stores from January 17.

China Mobile is the world’s largest operator with a customer base of 710 million. From December 25, these customers will be able to pre-register online for the devices, which went on sale in the UK in September.

The value of the agreement is undisclosed but Apple said it would last several years.

“China is an extremely important market for Apple,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said.

Details of pricing and availability of iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c for China Mobile will be available at a later date.
