Olaf May joins the company as it prepares to launch a new range of rugged mobile phones
Rugged mobile manufacturer Toughshield has appointed Olaf May as CEO with immediate effect.
His appointment is the latest of several, including former Orange and Vodafone employee Sue Osborne in July (see here). Six new senior staff were also appointed in August as the company aims to grow its market share in the rugged smartphone space.
May joined Toughshield in November as vice president of western Europe before being promoted this month.
Prior to joining the company he worked for printer and smartphone manufacturer Pro Barcode GmbH where he was tasked with building relationships with new suppliers, namely Toughshield.
He also filled several roles at Motorola between 2007 and 2013, including general manager of mobiles for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
