Two new additions come hot on the heels of the Z1 Compact announced at CES last week, with duo hitting the UK later this quarter
Sony Mobile has unveiled the Xperia T2 Ultra and E1. Both will begin rolling out globally later this quarter. They will also be available in UK, although details on availability and pricing are yet to be released.
The T2 Ultra (pictured left) is powered by a Snapgragon 1.4GHz quad-core processor. It has a six-inch HD screen that extends to within 2.5mm of the smartphone’s edges and includes Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology, which it said
It has a 13 megapixel rear and 1.1-megapixel front cameras, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded by up to 32GB with a microSD card and Sony’s Battery STAMINA Mode, which automatically turns off functions to save power when they are not needed and restarts them when they are.
The device also has a number of one touch functions to share music, photos and videos with 132 NFC connected accessories, including the Sony SmartWatch, speakers, wireless headsets and TVs.
Sony is also releasing a dual-SIM variant of the smartphone – the T2 Ultra dual. Users can set up both SIMs with custom ring tones and one-touch switching between SIMs before making calls or sending text messages.
It will be available in black, white and purple.
The mid-range Xperia E1 (pictured right) is powered by a Qualcomm 1.2GHz dual-core processor and has a four inch touchscreen, as well as 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
It comes with a dedicated Walkman button with shake-to-shuffle capability and the ability to combine on and offline music, creating playlists as well as playing and sharing tracks. It will come pre-loaded with a 30 day pass for Sony’s Entertainment Network music streaming service.
In addition, the E1 includes a 100Db speaker, ClearAudio+ mode and xLoud, all of which Sony Mobile said enhance the audio on the device. Like the T2 Ultra, a dual-SIM version will also be available.
It will come in black, white and purple.
