Manufacturer will become the sixth direct handset distribution agreement signed by Exertis Micro-P since its entry to the mobile market in 2010
Distributor Exertis Micro-P is set to be named an official distribution partner of HTC, Mobile News understands.
Neither company would comment on the story as Mobile News went to press, but sources close to both firms insist a deal has been agreed.
HTC is looking to increase its market share in the UK, which has dipped from 7.3 per cent to 5.4 per cent year on year*, as well as boost its presence in B2B.
Once confirmed, HTC will become the sixth direct handset distribution relationship signed by Exertis Micro-P since entering the mobile market in 2010.
Partnerships (in order of being signed) include Samsung (2010), Nokia (2011), LG and MOJO Maker (2012) and Sony (2013).
HTC’s existing relationships with Ingram Micro Mobility, Data Select and Brightstar 20:20 are understood to be unaffected.
