Facebook founder Zuckerberg to make keynote speech at MWC


Chairman and CEO of social networking website to make his debut at global telecoms event next month

Facebook founder, chairman and CEO Mark Zuckerberg will debut at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month by making a keynote speech to attendees.

Zuckerberg (pictured) will headline the first of the week’s Mobile World Live keynote sessions on February 24 from 18:00-18:45. MWC runs until February 27.

The GSMA said that along with technology journalist and writer David Kirkpatrick, they will “explore the importance of extending the benefits of ubiquitous internet access to the unconnected world”.

It also announced a number of additional CEOs participating in the MWC conference programme, including CEO of Singapore-based mobile operator Chua Sock Koong and Ford Motor Company EMEA president Stephen T. Odell.
