Colin Macfarlane will sell products such as the Acer Iconia W510 Windows 8.1 tablet and Acer Chromebook to schools and universities
Exertis Micro-P has appointed a former primary school teacher to the role of public sector business manager for Acer.
In the first role of its kind at the distributor, Colin Macfarlane will work with Exertis Micro-P’s public sector team leader Clare Spindler to provide offers and advice to schools, universities and academies about the latest Acer products – including the Acer Iconia W510 Windows 8.1 tablet and the Acer Chromebook.
He will also offer training and support to Exertis Micro-P’s education and public sector-focused resellers.
Macfarlane has worked as a primary school teacher and as a local authority adviser to schools.
He said: “There is a considerable amount of potential in education as institutions see the benefits that come from deploying the latest ICT solutions and I’m looking forward to working with our reseller partners to fulfil it while promoting the Acer brand.”
