Developers will be able to exhibit their apps made with the manufacturer’s Software Development Kit
Samsung will host a ‘Developer Day’ at this year’s Mobile World Congress on February 26.
The day, which has taken place annually at MWC since 2011, will introduce the manufacturer’s Software Development Kit (SDK) and allow its partners to exhibit their apps developed with the SDK for the first time.
It will feature programmes for developers, including an awards ceremony for the Samsung Smart App Challenge, an app development contest that ran for the Galaxy S4 smartphone last year.
In addition Andreas Constantinou, CEO of market analysis firm VisionMobile, will deliver a presentation on the latest mobile app development trends for this year.
New application booths will be set up at Hall 8.1 of the MWC exhibition centre and will be open for the duration of the global trade show from February 24-27.
