Handset manufacturer to have its branding and promotional material at all 14 stadiums of the competition, which runs from February 7 until October 11
Alcatel OneTouch has become the official handset provider of the 2014 First Utility Super League season.
The handset manufacturer’s branding will be present in all home stadiums of the 14 teams competing in the rugby league season, which begins on February 7. It will also advertise in match day programmes and run promotional activity around the grounds.
Alcatel OneTouch will run the same activity during Magic Weekend at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester from May 17-18 and the Grand Final at Old Trafford in Manchester on October 11.
Magic Weekend sees all 14 teams compete in a complete round of fixtures at one venue over one weekend, while the Grand Final sees the top two teams at the end of the season play each other to be crowned First Utility Super League champions.
Alcatel OneTouch UK and Ireland country manager William Paterson (pictured right with Super League commercial director James Mercer) said the company will be working with the competition to provide services that will bring fans “closer to the games, players and live action”.
Alcatel OneTouch joins Foxy Bingo and Brut as official partners of the First Utility Super League.
On January 21, energy firm First Utility was announced as the title sponsor of the rugby league club competition for the next three years. Yesterday, Sky Sports announced that it had signed a five year deal from 2017 to broadcast the competition.
According to First Utility, Super League rugby is watched by almost two million people each season and in addition to Sky Sports, it is also broadcast on the BBC.
